This project ensures clean and safe water supply for Shangri-la Town, Yunnan, China, by facilitating multi-stakeholder collaboration for improved reservoir watershed management. Shangri-la Town has a population of 48,000 and is a major tourist destination with 2-3 million tourists per year. Water issues have resulted from poor forest management, human waste and refuse from five surrounding communities.
